A pocket intention is a few small words or a phrase chosen to reflect a feeling, strength, or energy. A pair of citrine earrings may carry the intention of trying to find the silver lining in your day, or an eclectic found-item pendant may serve as an encouragement to be unapologetically true to yourself on a first date.

Some of my pieces are labeled with individual pocket intentions, while others are made as a collection based on how I gathered the tiny treasures to make them. All of my pieces are meant to encourage mindfulness, authenticity, and the everyday magic of intentional living. You are free to interpret these messages however you see fit.

Pocket intentions are inspired by a game I played with my younger patients when I worked in inpatient mental healthcare, where we described a person’s essence through things like colors, animals, and qualities, while one person tries to guess who we're speaking about. It never failed to bring up spirits in an otherwise painful time in many of their lives.

I carry that same idea into my art- creating each piece with a particular strength or feeling in mind, like courage, gentleness, or resilience. I believe that one of the most valuable gifts you can give is to make another feel seen, and I trust in the universe that each piece will find its way to the person who was meant to find it.
